The Sino-French Conferences on Atmospheric Environment have been successfully held since 2008 (Beijing, Orléans, Qingdao, Lyon, Xi’an), they have provided the opportunity for fruitful cooperation among interdisciplinary scientists. Three dedicated issues of Journal of Environmental Sciences have been published for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th workshops. The 6th Sino-French Workshop has been held on September 10-12, 2018 at Orleans, France, and did address different issues related to air quality improvement and future challenges and provided further forum for exchanging ideas about current research dealing with these issues.
